Two Types of Wisdom

James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
There are two types of wisdom. One type is devilish. This is wisdom that comes from pride. This is also wisdom that, in the end, is self-serving, and causes much strife. It is wisdom that give us the desired result, but is evil in its intention because it is selfish, and does not care that another is harmed, and suffers loss, by it. Godly wisdom, on the other hand, is wisdom that comes from pure intentions, is gentle, and always seeks a peaceful end. It is wisdom that seeks good for others, and not just self. It seeks a solution that is profitable for all, if possible, and has the glory of God at the forefront of its thinking. Godly wisdom is not just spoken, but is demonstrated by our actions in how we respond to any given situation. It has no need to prove itself, and put another down or make another look bad in the process. When we choose godly wisdom to resolve an issue, we swallow our pride in order to keep unity, and peace, regardless of what has been done to us, because what is ultimately most important is how we portray Jesus in our life. Let us today stop, and think about the consequences of our responses to whatever situations God may allow us to encounter. Let us seek to glorify Him today by choosing godly wisdom in order to have a peaceful end to whatever the circumstance.
