Promises Fulfilled In Due Time

Isaiah 54:10-12 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord , who has mercy on you. “O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal, And all your walls of precious stones.

God's promises to Israel will stand. There is soon coming a time when Jesus will rule, and He will fulfill every promise He made to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the Nation of Israel. A covenant of peace, not scripted by the hand of man, but by the Hand of God. We too, His church, made up of born again followers of Jesus, have also been made a promise of peace. It has been written and sealed by the Blood of the Prince of Peace. It was by the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross that brought the possibility of each of us being reconciled to God and finally being at peace with Him. This does not mean that we will be exempt from troubling times here on earth. This does not mean that we will not suffer persecution or times of tribulation and testing. However, it does mean that whatever God allows us to go through in this life, we always have the peace of God to see us through. We have Jesus, and the Holy Spirit indwelling us, to walk us through the fiery times. We have access to the peace of God that passes all understanding; and like God's promises to His people Israel, so are His promises to His children, the church, everlasting. His promises will never be broken, and every one will be fulfilled in due time.

Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Rom 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive Him and His free gift of salvation today (Rom 10:13).
