How He Sees Us

Psalms 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

We can be our own worst enemy when it come to what we think of ourselves. Sadly, we create a picture of ourselves, not based on who we really are, but on what the devils want us to think of ourselves, other people's opinions, and how others treat us. We fail to see ourselves through the eyes of the One who truly loves us, and what He has written in the Bible about who we are in Him. Right after God tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, He goes on to remind us that His works are marvelous. We are His workmanship. He proved how valuable we are to Him by giving us His only begotten Son. In and of ourselves, we are sinners, separated from God, and on our way to eternal condemnation in Hell, then the Lake of Fire. However, in Christ we are God's children; His precious treasure. We are His representatives, His holy priesthood, whom He loves with an everlasting love. One author put it this way, in respect to how the Lord sees us, "Jesus sees you when others overlook you, he hears you when others ignore you, and he makes you more powerful than you imagine." We need to stop seeing ourselves from the false image that has been planted in our minds, and begin to see ourselves as He sees us.

Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Rom 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive Him and His free gift of salvation today (Rom 10:13).
