Who Are We Listening To?

Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord , And in His law he meditates day and night.

The people we surround ourselves with is very important. For us, the born-again believer, we must have balance. We must not completely isolate ourselves from the unsaved. However, our main source of fellowship should be other believers who God can use in our lives, as well as use us in theirs. Our call is to bring the Gospel to the lost, unsaved world. Therefore, it is important not to shy away from having unsaved friends. Nonetheless, the unsaved friends are not to be our advisors and source of wise counsel. Corrupt company will always corrupt our way of living. We must surround ourselves with those of like mind, who can advise us from God's Word, when such advice is needed. Ultimately, God has given us His Word, the Holy Spirit, and the ability to come before in prayer, in Christ Jesus. The is no better Guide or Counselor than God Himself. We must be wise about whom we seek wisdom from.

Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Rom 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive Him and His free gift of salvation today (Rom 10:13).
