Psalms 117:1-2 Praise the Lord, all you nations! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
What can be said about the Lord's faithfulness? What can be said of His mercy, grace, and love toward us? Can anything overcome it? Can circumstances, persecutions, or even the devils take it from us? Can our feelings make God's truth null and void? The short answer is, "No, absolutely not!" God's goodness toward us, in Christ, is unchangeable. The devils want us to be convinced that God changes His mind about loving us. They want us to be convinced that we are no longer worthy, and that God will abandon us the moment we stumble. They want us to "feel" like God no longer cares for us when our world crumbles around us. Yet, God gave us His only begotten Son in order to show us His great love for us. In Christ He has redeemed us, and it is Jesus righteousness, not ours, that makes us acceptable to the Father. The Holy Spirit indwells us, and has sealed us with a seal that CANNOT be broken. We are the Lord's forever! His truth, His promises, have not changed, and never will. His promise that He will never leave us, nor forsake us is eternal. We will never ever be separated from His love, and nothing that has ever existed, exists, or can exist, will ever change that promise. The bottom line is that God's powerful mercy and kindness toward us can be changed by nothing; because nothing can overcome it.
Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Rom 7:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Rom 10:13).
