Psalms 119:73 Your hands have made me and fashioned me; give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
Upon reading today's verse, I was immediately reminded of Psalms 136:13-16. A wonderful reminder that God is our Creator. He knew us before we were in our mother's womb, and formed us there as well. He not only formed our bodies the way they are, but He also formed us from within. He gave us personality, talents, abilities, and knows everything about us, from what we think, to what is in our hearts. Stop and think about that for a moment. When we buy something that requires instructions on how to properly use it and care for it, where do we seek that information? We seek the information found in the owner's manual, written by the manufacturer or creator of the product. Well, we are no different. God, our Creator, has given us a User's Manual...the Bible. However, not everyone can understand that Manual unless the Creator explains it. As born again Christians, we have the Creator indwelling us, and available 24/7 to teach us what we need to know about how to properly use and care for the bodies, talents, and abilities He has allowed us to be stewards of. He has given us talents and abilities to match, perfectly, the bodies He gave us; and by using the Word of God, by the leading of the Spirit, He leads us on the path to fulfill the purpose for which He created us for...holy set aside for His purpose(s). Are we reading the Manual, or are we letting the world, our own desires, and the devils decide for us how we should use our talent, abilities, and bodies, that were fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord? We need to stop listening to the world, our flesh, and our enemies, who only want to discourage us, tell us we are failures, and convince us that our purpose for being here is to live for this world. We can know the purpose for which we were created, and it begins with a true relationship with our Creator, Savior, and Lord, then continues with the Holy Spirit teaching us, guiding us, and producing His fruit in our lives, using God's Instruction Manual, the Bible.
Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Rom 7:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Rom 10:13).
