Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
If there is one thing that we born again believers can say with all certainty is that the Lord, our Lord, is God; for salvation can only be found and brought about by God alone. There is salvation in no other and no other name. My question to each of us who claim to know Him is this, "Is Jesus our Savior and Lord, or is He only our Savior?" The fact of the matter is that Jesus is both Savior and Lord. The real question for us is, "Do we live as if Jesus is both Savior and Lord of my life?" We are all His creation, but only those who repent, trust, and call upon His Name are His children. Sadly, far too many of us treat Jesus as if He is only "fire insurance" with no regard for the authority He has over us and our lives. He made us, and Jesus purchased us with His Blood. We are no longer our own. We have been separated unto God for His purposes. Jesus is our Good Shepherd, and we are His sheep, under His care. He provides for us and protects us. Therefore, because of what He has done to free us from the bondage of sin and death, we are to live in obedience to the one who is Lord of lords and King of kings; for one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess, whether saved or not, that Jesus Christ is Lord. If we claim that Jesus is Lord and that we love Him, is it plainly visible by our obedience to His Word and how we are living?
Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Romans 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Romans 10:13).
