Psalms 150:2 Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise, honor, and glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords! What a wonderful way to end the Book of Psalms. A Psalm that teaches us one of the most valuable lessons we can learn as born again believers; a lesson about praise. This is not praise to just anyone or anything. This is praise for the only One who deserves our praise. This is not praise that is based on whether we think life is going well or smoothly. This is praise that is to be given, regardless of what our circumstances may look like. Our God deserves praise for His mighty acts. In other words, we praise God because of His might and power; a might that He uses for our good and His glory. Our God deserves praise, not because of what we gain personally, but simply because He is God, and because of the magnitude of who He is. Even if the Lord chooses to do nothing else for us for the remainder of our time here on earth, it does not make it any less appropriate to offer up praise and thanks; for He has already done, for us, more than we deserve, when He gave His life for us. So today, let us lift our voices, our hands, and our hearts, in praise to the one and only true God! Let us lift up our praise so that everyone can hear that we are not ashamed to let them know that the God of the universe is our God, and that Jesus is Lord and Savior! Praise, honor, and glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords!
Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Rom 7:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Rom 10:13).
