John 7:12 And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”
Proverbs 29:25 tells us, "The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe." Yet, how often do we refrain from speaking the Name of Jesus, or fail to do what the Lord has led us to do, simply because we feared what others would think of us or say about us? The truth of the matter is that people will have their opinions about us, and even talk about us, regardless of whether or not we do what is right before God. Jesus Himself was perfect and without sin. Yet, there were some who said He was good and others who called Him a Deceiver of the people. That did not deter Him from completing His mission here on earth for the Father. What is keeping us from living for Jesus and speaking His Name when He opens a door of opportunity? Is it our fear of what others will think or say about us? If that is so, let me ask us this question, "In the grand scheme of God's will and plan for our lives, if someone criticizes us for living for Jesus and for continually speaking His Name, knowing full well that our home and reward is ultimately found in Heaven, do men's warped opinions really matter?"
Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Romans 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Romans 10:13).
