John 5:24-27 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man."
A time is coming when those who read this will no longer have an opportunity to make the single most important decision any one of us could make. What is that decision, you ask? The decision to believe, and put your trust in the only begotten Son of God, the One who gave His life so that we could have eternal life in Him. You say you are not ready and you want to wait. Okay, well, answer this for me, "Who gave you the written guarantee that you will be here tomorrow, or even later today, to make that decision?" The truth is that life is like a vapor, and we are never guaranteed tomorrow, or even the next moment. Jesus made something very clear. There are two choices. The first is to believe in Him, respond to His Word and receive eternal life, or choose unbelief, ignore His voice, and be condemned for eternity. Hell and the Lake of Fire are just as real as Heaven. If you do not know Jesus, then right now, not later or tomorrow, is the time to repent, call on His Name by faith, and accept the free gift of salvation He offers. If you have already done that, and you are enjoying a life of faith and hope, then my question to you is this, "Do you also believe that Hell is as real as Heaven?" If so, is that belief reflected in how diligent we are to tell others about Jesus, and warn them about the consequences of rejecting Him, and waiting too long to make that decision? If not...what are we waiting for?
Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Romans 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Romans 10:13).
