There Are Still Some Who Will Believe

John 4:43-45 Now after the two days He departed from there and went to Galilee. For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. So when He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things He did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they also had gone to the feast.

Sometimes it does not matter how much evidence is seen, in respect to who Jesus is and what He can do, some people will just not believe or give Jesus the honor He deserves. It was in Cana of Galilee that Jesus turned water into wine. The Galileans had likely seen much of what Jesus did in Jerusalem; yet, they refused to recognize Him for who He was. We must not be surprised when those closest to us refuse to acknowledge the change that takes place in our lives after we come to know the Lord. God will begin to change us from the inside out, by the working of the Spirit in us and through us. Yet, many of our family members and friends will mock us and persecute us, rather than accept our witness. That is perfectly fine. For all the lack of honor toward Jesus, and disbelief by the Galileans, there were still some who believed, even an entire household (4:46-54). So when we feel like no one is listening, just remain faithful. The more people we tell and the more consistent our testimony, the more likely we will reach some. We have to live for Jesus, open our mouths, and leave the outcome to Him. There are still those out there who will believe.

Today, God extends an invitation to you to accept His free gift of salvation (Romans 6:23). Will you accept it? Anyone who calls on Jesus, by faith, in repentance, confessing your sins, will receive eternal life. Do not put off calling on Him, and receive His free gift of salvation today (Romans 10:13).
